Experience the sun rising over Mt Bromo and climb to its crater

Guests are collected from your hotel at about 4am and transferred by a private 4x4 up to the Mount Penanjakan view point. When you get there you will have the opportunity to have a hot drink and 'hire' a puffer jacket from some enterprising locals for $1-2 before climbing the staircase that takes you to the viewing platform.

Overlooking the mountains, watching the sunrise, you will experience one of the most awe-inspiring and memorable vistas in the world. From here you may wish to venture into the old caldera and climb to the crater of Mount Bromo itself. It is possible to use one of the local horses that your guide will help arrange or alternatively you can walk. The distance is approximately 2 km.
