Keralan sea food

Mopillah Cooking Lesson

Faizal, your hostess is an expert in Mopillah cuisine which is a combination of Muslim influences from the Middle East and Keralan dishes.

It uses a range of ingredients including vegetables, seafood, poultry and meat with lots of spices. Meals are accompanied by different rice and breads.

Your lesson will begin with a visit to the local fish market, held twice daily in Tellicherry. There is a huge range of seafood caught here and you are sure to find some tasty ingredients.

Continue your shopping with a trip to the spice merchant to buy the essential flavourings for your cooking. Faizal will then instruct you in the kitchen and help you produce a meal which you can enjoy for lunch or dinner.
